WAHYU GEIYONK ,

The inspiration behind his recent paintings came in 2005 while he was observing his second child was a son. People say that when babies sleep they are guarded by angels. This common experience evoked a wave of questions: Was the baby dreaming? What was he dreaming about? What was he feeling? Did the dream have any colors? Why was he smiling? What does a baby dream about anyway? He sees the early part of a child's life is an important and decisive phase. Giving positive affection, calming language that provides a serene feeling is essential nourishment for the brain and the soul. A parent's battle lies in the effort to keep this atmosphere alive and protected. Parents are the first architects of the landscape of the child’s brain and heart. The character formed depends on the subsequent education given. To portray the mental evolution from childhood to adulthood, Geiyonk uses the metaphor of butterflies. The journey from a cocoon to a butterfly entails various stages, processes and energy and if it could be visualized would be amazing to watch. If it were written it could become a series of books, or if it were made into a film numerous DVDs would be needed. The essence of his interest in this subject matter lies in the reality that in the soul and brain of a child flow numerous probabilities and potential. Based on this understanding, for Geiyonk, painting is a dimension of physical and spiritual work which is relaxing and brings joy to the mind.
